Information we collect
ToteBuddy may collect the contact details, delivery and pickup addresses, requested dates, rental selections, referral information, access instructions, and move notes you provide.
How we use it
We use this information to evaluate availability and service-area eligibility, prepare pricing, communicate with you, coordinate delivery and pickup, process an approved booking, and improve our local service.
How information is shared
ToteBuddy does not sell personal information. Address details may be sent to the U.S. Census Geocoder to verify county eligibility and delivery fees, and to Google Maps Platform to check driving distance for Book Now. Stripe processes online payments and uses customer and address details to calculate sales tax. Information may also be shared with service providers needed to operate the website, deliver email, process payments, maintain records, or comply with legal obligations.
Booking analytics
We use a random identifier stored in your browser session to measure Book Now visits, form starts, booking warnings, checkout handoffs, and verified payments. The identifier is linked to a booking when you proceed to checkout. These analytics events do not contain your name, email, street address, card details, or the text you enter. We do not use this tracking for advertising or collect unfinished email entries for marketing. Analytics events are retained for up to 90 days and are visible only to authorized owners. Hosting providers may separately process standard request logs.
Retention and security
To reduce automated abuse, we process the connection IP address supplied by our hosting provider and store a short-lived, hashed identifier with request counts. The identifier changes every three minutes and is separate for analytics and address verification. We do not store the raw IP address in these counters or use them for advertising. Expired counters are removed in batches during subsequent traffic after a one-hour grace period.
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for customer service, operations, accounting, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
